We have a few of those in town here that I see out and about.

I could get a small tuba in the passenger side on the floor, probably, with the seat pushed all the way back.

I'll wait for the Volt, myself. If I'm going to spend money on an efficient car I'd druther go the whole way, and not pay whatever it is they want (top dollar right now, of course) for a bit of tin and a lot of show. Takes a really, really long time to pay that much back in saved gas. We figured the people who buy those are the ones who were getting a car anyway and thought it would be fun. Almost exclusively well-heeled-looking blue hairs, around here, who drive them.

My Ford Fesitva used 12" tires. Buying new ones was always a challenge because I had to make sure the guys at the tire place properly removed the horsie heads before mounting them on the car. The tires on the Nano, for some reason look much, much smaller.

I hate to be a terminal Luddite, but an old 240 Volvo might still beat any of the latest and greatest.
Even the early ones, if decently tuned, ace emissions tests.
I averaged 33mpg over 9,000 miles of cross-country driving (yes, it was mostly two-lane fun, but the Rockies?)
Can you say "over 110 mph"?
How about discussing the fact that all of the factory emissions from making the sweet things are long gone? (No new materials were used in the manufacture of this product...)
Sleeps two comfortably (OK, two smallish friends of the shortish variety, if you insist on the "comfortably", three great amigos, if you are willing to compromise, or one extra-tall wide-ish sort, if they're inclined toward automatic transmissions.)
Have been known to survive teenage encounters with miscellaneous hazards, including, but not limited to, trees, ditches, snowbanks, and small figments of the imagination.
Here's the kicker...
You can slide an old King 2341 in a hard case easily into the backseat.
Or if you're the speedy sort - 2 tubas, two trombones, a euph and their respective operators can all arrive unscathed.

Plus, I already own several.
