urgent FINALE assistance needed

For those of you who are seasoned in Finale---

I need roughly 30 pages of a tuba piece entered into finale ASAP.
My pianist is having a really hard time reading the original font that the piece came in. Therefore, we have not been able to effectively rehearse the piece for several of my upcoming recitals.

I am not trying to be provocative or even a smarta$$, but $100 for 30 pages is right at %16 of what I charge for Finale© work. I get even more for folks in a hurry. I hope you find someone who will help you out.

As Carroll mentioned, the $100.00+ would be quite low for someone who does this for a living.
Your best bet might be to find a student that might take on the project. I generally charge $20-25.00 per page for piano music or $30.00 per hour. Depending upon how thick the music is, one can probably get 2+ pages done in an hour. But if only 2 pages, with my rates this would cost app. $450.00 if my multiplication is correct.

Is it the Brougton by chance?

If it is not an original piece, but a transcription, maybe someone will already have it in Finale?

I wouldn't give the project to a student...they simply don't have the extra time in the middle of a semester to commit to a large project that needs to be done quickly. Let me know if I can be of assistance, Andy, and good luck with your recital preparation.

Yep...actually, the request was perfect timing for me, as I just completed a huge wind ensemble project (hopefully you'll be around to hear the OSU wind ensemble perform it at the CBDNA conference there in Austin in March!) and I only have a couple of smaller projects right now which can simmer on the back burner if need be (bass trombone and horn sonatas).

I suppose that's one of the advantages of not having a career as a music educator or performer...I have a bit more free time after work now that I'm just a "regular guy" selling auto parts. I will have to say, though, that I did many an "all-nighter" back in my college days to finish projects...usually, for me, it was a marching band arrangement needed for a morning rehearsal. I don't miss those days much, and I don't think I could handle the lack of sleep now anyway.

It would appear that Gary has found a person to help him out now, anyhow.
