How does this horn compare to some of the "big name" CC tubas?
Gnagey-Phone CC
Edwards B-454 Bass Trombone
Shires Q-30 Tenor trombone
King 3B Trombone
Fender P Bass
Ibanez SRH-505 Bass

Hi-
Not to get off track on this post, but I agree with bloke 100%--old 186 4v CC Mirafone's with 16 1/2" bells are really great horns and IMHO play MUCH better than the same vintage 5v Mirafone CC 186's--and folks have at times a huge problem selling these horns--even at 2008 cheap prices of $3000 or less- because they are 4 valve (what--no 'proper fingering' for pedal Db--oh no!!!), probably have lacquer wear (not shiny, and worse--not silver--oh no!!!!!), and the real 'bad' point--rotary valves (oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). It is the new disease amongst CC tuba players--not focal dystonia, but 'CC rotor dystonia'.....
