Let me preface my comments by asserting that I hope what I post is helpful to all who read here and not interpreted as in any way controversial or demeaning to those who disagree.

I love Hetman, too...it's the best! Not that, of course, other lubricants aren't great as well, it's just that, for me, Hetman works magic on those difficult piston valves!

oooooh...i don't have that foundation book. does somebody have idea where i could get one. i could sur use the help with my sousa playing!

i played a recital this week...i thought it went great! i played "asleep in the deep on my big MW horn. aren't MW horns super fabulus? everybody told me after the recital that i sounded real good-one and of the flute players that i kinda like in my theory class even said i have a world class sound!!! my tuba teacher said i still have alot to work on but i was wondering what all smart people here think. can anyone tell me how to putup a recording of my recital performance so you guys can me some comments?

not to disparage anyone's choice of lubricants, but a driller I was working with this week was using a vegitable based hydraulic oil.

I played a polka band gig tonight on a CC tuba.

Only if you abided by clause G-50 in your contract (previously clause CB-50) that requires the use of a unique 5th valve slide and 5th valve to be mechanically fastened in the engaged position, thus permanently putting said CC tuba in the key of BBb. Union inspectors reserve the right to verify this through any and all means, including measuring and play-testing.
