St. Louis Brass Quintet
Had a chance to hear the group play in Lincoln last night. An amazing concert by some fantastic muscians. One of the reasons I wanted to go was to hear Mr. Perantoni play the tuba. Just an amazing sound and range. After the performance I got a chance to talk to him. One thing I took away from talking to him was like most of us I guess he still strives to be better next time. Makes me glad I took up the horn again.(after 30 years away!)

Re: St. Louis Brass Quintet
I heard them in a tiny college in the mountains of North Georgia about 5 years ago with the same feelings you expressed. I don't know why they and a couple of other quintets continue to labour on the road but I am sure thankful. It is my favorite genre to play and hear. Live music is the best and Brass Quintet is the best of the live music.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
