I also think the Off Topic forum could use some sub-forums. Maybe one called "Legitimate discussion" and the other called "Chat"...

I think the Tubenet section might benefit from some sub-forums. Maybe a forum regarding playing and maintenance of the tuba and another regarding discussion on other matters (piece of music, pedagogy, etc.).

Re: Sticky--dividing tubenet
Nah, I like my TubeNet like I like my Thanksgiving dinner- all on one plate. Yeah, I split the plate up into potatoes, meat, veggies, etc. but if they all mix up into each other a little bit, that's fine.
There aren't so many posts here on TubeNet that I see and need to separate things more.
Besides, Bloke don' need no steenking subgroups...He'll post where he wants!

I think that what he meant was to say that your mean posting is "stinky" and devisive on TubeNet. He's just typing too fast again.the elephant wrote:James, are you using the word "sticky" to ask that these sub fora be in the form of stickies, or that you want this thread to be made into a sticky, or do you believe that by typing the word "sticky" in the title that it becomes a sticky? I am not getting why that work is there at all.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Hey, Jimmy was stinky last time I checked on York #3. You don't think this means James has found him/it do you?the elephant wrote:Got it. Stinky and mean.

The trombone forum is set up with many sub forums and for me it's sometimes hard to pick where to post things. Keep things how they are.

Where's the fun in that? Half the fun is when serious threads go wildly off topic. See the recent Mouthpiece fixation thread and "The Biggest Mistake of My Life" thread for examples. The Jackson wrote: I also think the Off Topic forum could use some sub-forums. I guess some people don't appreciate the droll humor that some others of us get a kick out of. I guess that makes them sticky.
