... is there someone on the TubeNet familiar with Frank Holton trumpets from the 1920's? I have an 'interesting' horn that I think might be of significant interest.
Thanks
Is there a BBS like this one for trumpet players? or....

This one does not bear any model name. The serial number is 74660... probably manufactured in 1923. It's a common old Frank Holton trumpet except for the bell is fully engraved all the way to the crook and it's gold plated. There is also a gold plated two piece Frank Holton 'Heim model' mouthpiece in the case. It's a beautiful horn and just looks to be to be 'something kinda special'.bloke wrote:Just in case it's a "Herbert L. Clarke model", I offered one of those (mint) on eBay one time...' only sold for c. $150 - to someone in Japan.
