Is anyone aware of a good video camera that can be plugged directly into the computer for recording (such as to submit for an audition, etc.)? If not, is there a good video camera that would somehow accomplish the same idea? I am hoping to spend <$200 but will consider other options.
Thanks!

Small digital video cameras (those for sale in the $89-149 price point) take pretty good video considering their low cost. My younger brother has a model similar to this (same company) and I was surprised at the quality of the video and ease of use:

I bought one of these and use it weekly to record my marching band performances, my kids dance and violin performances, and general home movies. We are very impressed.

Re: Video Camera with USB
How is the audio on these two cameras? I am thinking that is the most important aspect of the camera for my purposes. Thanks.

I have been impressed... probably as good or better than a stand alone $100 digital audio recorder.Thomas Maurice Booth wrote:How is the audio on these two cameras? I am thinking that is the most important aspect of the camera for my purposes. Thanks.

I would have to agree. Make sure any model you buy has a tripod mount.Carroll wrote:I have been impressed... probably as good or better than a stand alone $100 digital audio recorder.Thomas Maurice Booth wrote:How is the audio on these two cameras?
