Whatever else you want to say, they had the good taste not to splat and blat their way through the big moments. Was it perfect? No, but I enjoyed listening to this ensemble play and I cannot say that about a lot of tuba ensembles.

There's evidence of good musicianship in all players. A big BRAVO to these guys.

These players from Spain, Poland, and the US appear to be students of the conservatory in Hannover, where Jens Bjørn-Larsen is the tuba professor.

I am not entirely convinced of the format with 4 tubas rather than two euphs and two tubas or even 3 euphs and one tuba. Still the same guys show fine playing also in this sample with a less disastrous camera handling:

Am I mistaken, or is this actually the Leo Arnaud "Olympic Theme":

It does begin with Arnaud's "Bugler's Dream", but then does go into Williams's Olympic theme. They are usually played together as a medley, as far as I know.

That Arnaud is a very fun piece to play!

I could see the influence in the way the tubists on the far right of the screen held his horn, a virtual copy of position his teacher has.
