We're gonna host because the grandson considers this place the most fun besides a skate park full of his little maniac friends.
I remember a thanksgiving buffet a few years ago at a mom's-home-cookin' place where the chow was first rate and we left all the mess behind. That would be cool to go there again.
But my son has to have non-stop football and the dinner over and done with by the time Dallas kicks off.

We are having Thanksgiving at the home of some close friends, although we're bringing the turkey and a couple of sides. We managed to talk our friend out of doing the 'Thanksgiving in the Box' from the grocery store, as this woman's son-in-law is a trained chef, as are my wife and myself.

I voted earlier that I intended to 'visit' a Thanksgiving feast. I just found out from my wife that I'm going to host a bunch of turkeys!

Years ago at a company meeting in Tulsa a particularly acidic mid manager was to give a talk on some aspect of sales. Since our company logo contains as eagle, the sales motto for the year was, "Soar Like an Eagle". He started his remarks by stating caustically, " It's sure hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by a bunch of turkeys." I forget which competitor he wound up with. Be careful how you phrase the turkey aspect of your wife's guests.

If the indians had turned the pilgrims onto a donkey instead of a turkey, we could all share a piece of ^$$ instead of turkey on thanksgiving.
