Does anyone know if these were custom made/colored by Conn to Arizona State's (and possibly others' specs), or were they customized by the school(s)? I really like the look of the gold color vs. the sterile "hey it's fiberglass!" stock white color.

You can take a stock white fiberglass horn to any automotive paint shop and have this done. I've seen them painted in satin silver. I think one of the military bands in or near DC has these for their pass in reviews and other long standing (up) outdoor gigs.
