Hmmm... about 38" long with a 11.4" bell. Kurt, do you reckon this is an Eb or F tuba? Too big for a tenor horn?
Might be fun to mess with. Do you know the seller?
Very old instrument with Pumpen valves.........

More along the lines of a wild a**ed guess... I would say that since the seller says the overall length is 97cm... taking a multiple into consideration for the number of turns and configuration of the main bugle..... perhaps 14 or so feet.... it's probably an Eb tuba.Belltrouble wrote:No idea ,Dan!
Wether about the seller nor the pitch, the only thing I´m sure about is that it is no York C...............
regarding the age and the valves, which pitch is more likely?
Question to the specialists I assume

What ever it is, it's looks pretty awesome as far as antique tubas go...I've never seen those particular valves before.

It must be very interesting to play with that modied mouthpipe... I'm guessing a military High Pitch horn that was converted down to low!
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Those aren't "pumpen" valves - they're Vienna twin-piston valves
