Where do you post from?
This is rather unscientific and I'm sure that Sean can provide exact numbers. But, just on the surface, it appears to me that TubeNet gets most of its traffic during the daytime hours on weekdays.... excluding holidays. This leads me to think that most of the TubeNetters post from computers at work. Just curious.

Being an insurance agent by trade, I post while I am waiting on someone else to act on something before I can finish an ongoing task. It's in short spurts but always available.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

I am but an innocent schoolboy, so I usually post from home, but sometimes post from my school's computer lab (I have to circumvent the dorn filters, though)

Re: Where do you post from?
weird,
I have a used (out of box, but bought from a store) blackberry 8800 that has been fine and I bought a mac laptop on the board here that worked ok. It didn't last as long as I would have hoped, but I still got some good use out of it.

Honestly, Wade, if you're not going to read the original Russian, why bother???the elephant wrote:Usually I annoy the high school dropout emo kids who work at the book store with questions about which translator they prefer for Tolstoy "because I prefer Pevar/Volokhonsky for all my Dostoevsky but not for Tolstoy and I sort of like the Maude 'War and Peace' but hated Garnett's - Have you ever read the Edmonds translation of that one?"

PS: Posted from the faculty room at work. It's the last day before winter break, and I just finished packing away a ton of equipment, so it's one of the rare times I'll post from work instead of home.

Re: Where do you post from?
Home. My department frowns so hard on personal computer use that I refuse to do anything at all of a personal nature on the office's computers. If I had a personal lap top, I might post at lunch, but it is just easier to stay clean if you don't do it.

Re: Where do you post from?
I post from my computer in dorms or at home. I never work regular hours (9-5), but I usually make checking out the forums a regular activity, when I have in-between-class time.
Any time at all is tuba time. Watch for the signs.

Re: Where do you post from?
Probably 99% of my TubeNet activity is on my work computer. It's a tablet PC with an aircard which allows me to check in while on the road. When at home, I use the same PC simply for the sake of convenience. I am fortunate in the aspect that my current employer (and my previous) allow personal use of company resources within reason.
