I have one and threr's one on Ebay right now . I've only seen one other on in person . Mine is tiny but gets a big sound and is unbelievably easy to play . I'm pretty sure this is the model{with four valves] that King cut to F for Bill Bell . As far as tuning Mine is definitely low pitch but the main slide is way long and could easily be shortened . I don't use it only because it's totaly worn out . The valves leakand it's very cosmetically challenged but it is definitly the easiest playing Eb I've ever played .Ed

You mean like this?

I've owned two of these: one which currently is now a 4 valve rotary tuba (a project for my apprentice) and the other was made into a CC (http://www.baltimorebrass.net/pic.php?id=499" target="_blank) long ago. This isn't to say I didn't or don't like them. They're a little tight, but the have good pitch, a very lovely sound, and a solid low register (no shadowy low B, Bb, A). Mine were both a little flat, easily remedied. But that didn't stop me from using it at SeaWorld for some time; the other musicians just tuned to match. They came with small receivers, so you might want to get a Yamaha YBB-103 receiver to replace it.

I have a small front action King Eb that I play quite frequently. One of the pawn shops here in Great Falls MT has had one just like it on display for over 10 years but I can't get them to put a price on it.

Pretty good center, but with a foggier sound than many... Ab is pretty solid open.
