Shaky tone

Hi all,
recently, when i tried to play louder in the lower registers, my notes tend to kind of 'shake'. As if, they are not consistent.
Sometimes, i guess is due to my jaw/muscles that shake (i used a mirror to see when i'm playing), or my air isn't consistent.

Please advise me on that.

I've had similar problems on and off. Common causes of a shaky tone for me could be; Fatigue, nervousness, or lack of air. Most of those problems can be fixed by practicing and using more air. If your shaky tone is directly related to jaw movement (another problem I've had to overcome), then keep practicing in front of the mirror and make a conscious effort to not move your jaw. Again practicing will help a lot, but don't get discouraged!

For me as well. In my case, it's worse when I'm hungry, worse when I've had too much caffeine, and worse when I'm sight-reading exciting music which puts me on the edge of my abilities. All of those things increase adrenalin production or at least the effect the adrenalin has on my system. For example, an adrenalin overdose coupled with low blood sugar (from having not eaten in too long) can really give me the shakes.
