My recollection is that the big Conns were not made very far into the MacMillan ownership period, and the Conn Loyalist reports they went out of production in about 1971. The 20J (three valve, front bell) was an exception, and was apparently made into the 80's.

The Conn Loyalist also reports that 20K's ceased production around the same time, but I was under the impression that the 20K was in limited production until recently, and may in fact still be.

I owned a 20J with an M serial number (1969), which was one of the early ones to be produced in Abilene. That's when quality dropped off considerably, and that might have been the demise of the model. Plus, the Miraphone craze was in full swing, and schools were no longer buying American BATs, but rather rotary tubas.
