HELLO FOLKS,
I NEED SOME SUGGETIONS ON TUBA ENSAMBLE MUSIC FOR MY STUDENTS. I HAVE NO EUPHONIUMS, A FEW CONTRABASS TUBAS AND 1 F TUBA (2 IF I PLAY). THE OVERALL LEVEL OF THE STUDENTS ARE AROUND HS TO UNDERGRADUATED. I HAVE LIMITED EXPERIENCE WITH TUBA ENSAMBLE AND IT SEEMS MOST MUSIC HAS BEEN WRITTEN/ARRANGED WITH EUPHONIUMS IN MIND AND IT´S JUST TOO HIGH FOR THEM. ANY IDEAS FOR REP THAT ISN´T TOO HIGH FOR TUBA 4TETS, 5TETS AND 6TETS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
REGARDS, ERIC

Re: TUBA ENSAMBLE MUSIC ADVISE
I have a thought, please don't write in all caps.
As to the ensemble, if you are looking for legit pieces, I think the William Presser Trio, Serenade for Four Tubas and Suite for Six Tubas are all very playable.

Re: TUBA ENSAMBLE MUSIC ADVISE
A fun piece is "Power" by John Stevens. It is a tuba quartet. All the parts are playable on tuba. I believe the highest not is an E flat above middle C. Sotto Voce has recorded it.
