What? You're kidding right... You have to be, if so, its very funny. If not...

He's not kidding. And it's not that far-fetched of an idea, since old Piotr was criticized for being "too western" by his contemporaries of Russian composition. But a "German" composer? Perhaps "German-style" composer would be a better choice. Words do have meaning,

You might try a couple of theme concerts, like "Shakespeare comes to Symphony Hall." Then program Mendelssohn's Midsummernight's Dream, Tchaik's Hamlet, and Selections from Prok's R & J. See if the local college/university would loan you a few acting students in period costume to emcee/usher/greet patrons. Offer glasses of meade at the lobby bar. Well-heeled patrons tend to go ga-ga over that kind of crap.

Do what "50 cent" does in that Vitamin Water commercial and intergrate "his own piece" into Beethoven's 9th. You also have to get your conductor to immitate the style of conducting in that commercial.
