When other people are listening? My King 2341 (new, new style) BBb (MF3H)
When I'm practicing? My 1970's body, more recent "Fletcher mods" EEb (MF4H)
When I'm just horsing around? My 1895 "Symphony" Eb helicon (G&W "skeletonized" Kronos)

No matter what I play, Contrabass Trombone, Tuba, Sousamaphone, It's a BBb
[except for my Boosey & Hawkes G-Bass Trombone, which I never learned the positions to.]

Re: What tuba do you play on the MOST?
Dear TubeNet Community:
I play on a mid 1970's Mirafone Model 186 Pro BB-Flat that plays well despite having had a pretty rough life. I also own a VMI 2103 BB-Flat which gets and has gotten a lot of play time through the years along with a Miraphone Model 187 Pro BB-Flat. As for the CC or BB-Flat debate, I like them both equally. I can see having a Miraphone 186 in BB-Flat and CC in the future. I like them, because they work. I like other BB-Flats like the Meinl-Weston 25, the Fafner, and the Model 289 manufactured by Miraphone. It depends on what you are playing and what a player prefers. For my needs, any of these instruments are wonderful.
Sincerely,
Bavarian Fanfare

Two nights a week I play a 1963 Conn 25J BBb. One night a week, I play a Jupiter 3-valve y'allphonium and a Modulus 6-string bass guitar. The fourth night, it's the one of our Civil War-era Eb side-rotor contrabasses that has the fewest parts falling off.
JP/Sterling 377 compensating Eb; Warburton "The Grail" T.G.4, RM-9 7.8, Yamaha 66D4; for sale > 1914 Conn Monster Eb (my avatar), ca. 1905 Fillmore Bros 1/4-size Eb, Bach 42B trombone

Re: What tuba do you play on the MOST?
Tuba wise, I only own the 983 so it is what gets played the most. However, like a lot of you, depending on the week's happenings my bass bone most often gets the most play time. I have a beautiful 983 and a beautiful 967 euph but what makes me the money? My Jupiter 740 bass bone
