BOSS Tuner TU-12 BW

I am wondering if anyone has information about this tuner, or has in fact tried it. I am very intrigued of the new functions on this tuner.

The Boss TU-12BW lets you tune up two ways. You can use its internal microphone to hear pitch - and then look and listen to its accurate metering and Accu-Pitch technology. Or, you can use the included clip-on microphone and clip it directly to your instrument - maybe on the bell of your horn - so it can hear the pitch even closer to the source for added accuracy, especially in a somewhat loud room.

Included case can clip it to your music stand, for added convenience
Adding to the Boss TU-12BW's convenience for brass and woodwind players, the TU-12BW comes with a special case that conveniently clips to your music stand - just below your sheet music, so it doesn't obstruct your view. Use the tuner on your desktop, if you want. Or, just slide it into the included case, clip the case onto your music stand,and tune up easily - without having to clutter up your music stand, or bend down and grab your tuner from the floor.

I just tried one for the first time on Wednesday. My old store use TU-12H is still going after 14 plus years, but I understand it's been discontinued. So, I checked out the new TU-12BW http://www.dillonmusic.com/HeleoCart/Pr ... 12BW.aspx. It works great even in the lower register. It still has an anaolg needle so there is not as much delay as the fake needle units, but it's not as hyper sensitive as the old TU-12H's needle was. So, all the benefits of an analog needle but not as jumpy. A cool feature is that it comes with a clip-on mike included. It's a bit slimmer, and comes out of the plastic mounting bracket to be even more portable. I think my favorite thing is that piece of plastic above where the mike cable is wrapped is slit open in the back so it can just slide right onto your music stand. That's right. This tuner can be right in front of your face but out of the way of the music.
