TubeNet fantasy baseball - need 1 more!

Post by dtemp »

OK fellow tuba/euphers and fantasy fanatics,

The time has come again to discuss getting a league together. I tried to set one up last year, and had a bunch of troubles, so I thought I'd lay down some ground rules. I hate to be such a @@@@@ about it, but the league ended up not happening because too many people made it difficult.

1. The league will be hosted by ESPN. I like it better than Yahoo!/CBS for various reasons. This will be a free league (just for fun), and it's free to sign up for the ESPN fantasy leagues.

2. The draft time and date will be determined at a later time.

3. If you want to play, send me a PM. I will put you in the system and it will send you an email saying you've been invited to play. You will 48 hours to respond and set up a team. If you go beyond that, I will delete you (this was also a problem last year). If there are extenuating circumstances, please let me know.

4. Now for the real nerdy stuff: the rules.
Roto Scoring
10 team league (9 others +me)
Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, Middle Infeilder, Corner Infielder, 5 OF, DH, UTIL, 3 Bench spots and 2 DL spots
8 Pitchers

Scoring for hitters: R, HR, RBI, BB, SB, AVG
Pitching: BB, SO, W, SV, ERA, WHIP

That pretty much does it. If you want in, just let me know.

2. The draft will be an online draft on Sunday, March 1st at 7:00 PM Central. We had a lot of trouble with finding a time everyone could draft last year, so I thought it would be good to just set a time and date. If you can't make the draft but would still like to play, you can set your roster rankings ahead of time and let the computer auto-draft for you.

3. If you want to play, send me a PM. I will put you in the system and it will send you an email saying you've been invited to play. You will 48 hours to respond and set up a team. I'd love to play, except for 2 things: Number 1: I play NL-only and number 2: a 10-team mixed [correctly assumed?] really presents no challenge, merely one All-Star team beating another.I like to dig really deep!Good luck getting this thing going, though. 8)

BUMP-

If you're thinking about it, please join. This is meant to be a fun thing, so even if you're new or a few years removed from fantasy baseball, please send me an email or PM.

Thanks.
