UPDATE:

I just finished my first serious wind band piece. I call it "Fast Train Music". We should be playing through it on Wednesday night! Yay!

Update: it's full spring here in northern CA.

My buddy John is out of state playing road gigs and his old dog, "Bama" lost most of the movement in her hind legs yesterday. She doesn't appear to be in pain so I plan to rig up a cart with some casters I have with large wheels that I can strap to her so she can get around until John gets back Monday.

Saturday: Sun, 70 degrees. Bar-b-q, beers on the deck.
Sunday: Snow on ground, 30 degrees. Drive home: snow, rain, sun, hail, snow, bright sun, rain, hail and through it all, wind.

I guess I got my wish. It is spring.
