York or Conn?

Post by tubaguy9 »

Which is it?

Title says it's a York Master, description says it's a Conn 38K. Both are great horns, though...

If, as they claim, the serial # really IS 83577, then for Conn it would be 1904, and for York (American) it would be c.1926. My bet would be York (European B&M, who made many of the "Master" line, from Oct 1940+ ).
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I saw the repairman's site for repairs.
http://www.borodinusic.com
I saw stuff mispelled all over the place on the for sale section, such as a Buescher sax that has the engraving in clear sight on the bell, spells it buescer in the picture, and buesher on the site. Bari as in Bari sax is spelled bary...
My point? If his repairs are like his spelling, he isn't very good, and is rather careless...
Just my few cents worth on my only impressions on his site, which is all I have.

Just my two cents
I'll admit, maybe my spelling isn't great  . I understand a few mistakes here and there, but don't do it if the correct spelling is right in front of you, or on a formal site for your shop.
