iPod Docking Stations

Post by Chuck Jackson »

Having fun filling up a 30G iPod and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a good, AFFORDABLE, docking station. And, what are the best AFFORDABLE ear-buds out there that actually go into your ear. TIA.

What you want to do is to check out the "deal of the day" sites. If you bide your time, you can get a high quality docking station at a great price. Here is one of the deal of the day tracking sites that I use:http://www.zerodaydeals.com/. Keep an eye on one of the site named "Thing Fling". They have had several high end units lately (and one was priced at around $30).

Unless you are a true hard core audiophile, any ear buds with the foam or silicone pieces that go into your ear canal will be more than enough. I use Koss Sparkplugs and couldn't be happier with them.

I guess affordable is a relative term. I recently got an email from Polk Audio letting me know that they are pushing the IES2 (I-Sonic® Entertainment System 2) for $349. IMHO, they are far better than Bose in terms of sonic fidelity.
