does anyone know where one would purchase a sackbut? Giardinelli used to selle them years ago.

anyone have one to sell?

Yes, you would think with the current economy, that "sackbuts" would be more prevalent now and in greater demand than maybe in recent years.

Just get a really old .480"-ish bore horn, and chop off the bell flare :)

Yeah and the slide would probably work better too.

i remember the old Giardinelli sackbuts we had at Rutgers had horrid slides. No matter how much i worked on it.
