Hawaii hotels?
So I am headed to Hawaii in May and I am hoping someone on the TubeNet can help recommend a decent hotel on Oahu for a good price? Anyone been there recently or live there?

Re: Hawaii hotels?
The challenge with hotels on Oahu, is that all the 'afordable' options are in the waikiki tourist area. Not all bad, also lots of restaruants and a nice fake beach.
Find a hotel that is not 'beach front', and the price is substantially less, for esentially the same hotel.

Re: Hawaii hotels?
Priceline is a lots of help and I have found piles that are affordable right near or on the beach. I even found a few condos for under $100 per night, but since I have never been there I was curious if anyone had any recommendations.
I was going to go last November, but the cost for a ticket was around $1500.00. I was able to get tickets for $400.00 last week (thank you tax refund guy). In November, the hotels were also 2-3 times as much as they are now.
