Measure the diameter of the bell: 16"= model#186 (old style), 16 1/2" I believe is the newer size, 17"=187, 18"=188

E-mailing Miraphone may get more specific info. Christian has been very helpful to others.

The serial# indicates it was manufactured after 1980.

The Mirafone 184 CC rotary has a 14 1/4" bell.

16.5 inch is the old style 186-4U, current 186-4U has an 18 inch bell flair, brass outside tubes with narrow guard moldings and narrow wreath on the bell rim (about 1.5 in) is an S series. Hope this helps.
