I second the "dust"...actually, I only have a stand sitting at home...and I'm at my dorm...

The only music stand in the house currently has Beethoven's 9th on it. The first violin part. My wife is preparing for an upcoming concert. I personally don't own one any more.

hm...well, the vaughan williams (i like warming up with the 2nd movement), a big folder of excerpts, a bach flute sonata, a metronome (unless I knocked it off...), some piano homework, random solos that my teacher gave me last semester, probably a mouthpiece, probably some sort of snack or wrapper

A cup, vicks vaporub, my wallet, a knife, my keys, some chopsaver, roll of toilet paper, and my checkbook. I can't practice at home, but I keep a stand here for gigs that require my own stand. Does this mean I don't qualify to answer?

Tuba Music Stand:nothing, although it usually serves as an alternate coat/t-shirt rack.

From back to front:

Alessi & Bowman's edition of the Arban method, my transcription of the Characteristic Studies for C tuba, my arrangement of the Sachse Concerto for Bass Trombone, and a sketch of the new piece I'm working on for the Ball State Wind Ensemble.

Hmmmm...I think my focus is headed in a different direction again...

a pair of shoes, my disc golf bag w/discs (no, I won't itemize them), my string bass stand, and many other things. My music stand is folded up in the back of my car.

Right now? I have Bass Bone parts to our upcoming jazz concert. The stand will soon be emptied and folded up, as it takes up too much space when not in use.

I have a sawed off Manhasett stand that is just barely high enough to cover the music. Did it for use with keyboards to be less of an obstruction. I reduced the first 3 pages of the VW, copied them to heavy card stock, and taped them to that stand for my Vandy community band gig a few weeks ago. No page turns, no music falling down, no surprises.
