"Brilliant" and/or "Maas" metal polish

Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with either of the above polishes? I'm just about to start the cleaning/polishing process on an old (approx. 75 yrs) tuba that was once silver plated but is now worn to the point of being more bare brass than silver, and I'm looking for a single product that can clean/polish both the brass and silver. The above "claim" they can — I'd be grateful for any experienced feedback or other suggestions from the tuba community. I did do a search, but found little or nothing that referenced cleaning an old tarnished silver/brass horn.

I use MAAS on my raw brass bugle. It works well and seems to help protect it from tarnishing as quickly. You use it sparingly too. A little dab will do you. It goes on easy and comes back off just as easy. For a tuba you will want to get the tub size. It took about a whole tube to a raw brass euphonium.

Maas is great stuff, it is very good on gold also.

It IS in rawbrass form. It looks laquered but it's not. I bought it brand new 10 years ago and have kept it shiny since then. This is an original Boy Scouts of America bugle made by Rexcraft.

If you want to preserve what silver is left on the horn, I would stick with a polish that is formulated for silver. Like Hagertys Silver Polish.

If you don't care about the silver and just want the brass to shine nicely... my favorite product is SIMICHROME. You can find it on-line or at motorcycle shops. The Harley guys love it!
