While I voted for "What is Old Tubenet" I really do know what it was from the perusal of the archives. I did like the ability to follow threads that way.

no real exposure to the old tubenet.
my general thought on forums is that the best one by far for ease of navigation, following of threads, and use of computer resources is what Craigslist does for their forums. not the classified ad section, but the forum section.
http://sacramento.craigslist.org/forums/?forumID=28 The post shows on the right, and you can still see the threads on the left. As far as I know it's a fully homegrown solution.
