Is the new camera working out well for you?

Re: new goslings time again on blokes Pond
A friend had guard geese. He raised them from the egg and they were very comfortable at his place. He had a coop for them but never closed or locked the door. He would feed them some and they would forage for whatever else. He had a slug-free yard. His place was right on the salt water so they could find plenty of food.
It was almost impossible to sneak up on Rupert- either from land or sea. The second his geese saw or heard anything unfamiliar, they'd be set off. What a noise! If someone came into his yard uninvited, they were met with a phalanx of snapping beaks!
I agree- geese can be nasty, dirty animals but, in small amounts, they can be fun to have arund.

Screw the hawks. If I were a goose, I'd be more worried about largemouth bass or any snapping turtles that may be in the pond.bloke wrote:Babies must stay close to Mom and Dad. Hawks are circling.

I still use my first digital camera... a Panasonic with a 3 1/2" floppy 'Superdisk'. I've replaced the drive once for about $15 off Ebay. I refuse to give it up. I also bought a portable 3 1/2" floppy drive off Ebay ($10) for use with my new Toshiba laptop.bloke wrote:admission: These were taken with the antique digital camera.. old Sony 3-1/2" floppy camera. ....Matthew Gilchrest wrote:Is the new camera working out well for you?
Those geese were just searching around for a proper nesting spot when I dropped my Blokepatch on April 9th. Those little buggers work quick! Congrats to Bloke and Debbie... proud parents!
