Tim, I would suggest you do a road trip to the TE and try out both horns and try out some others while you're there.

Tim, I tried both horns and was very pleasantly surprised. Very affordable tubas, that play quite well. Indeed, you should go try them. Try many of each if possible. I'm sure there will be differences. Let us know what you think!
What about the Jupiter in your signature? Is it just not what you are looking for, or is it your schools? Just curious because I really liked the 582l Bb tuba that I tried when I was shopping for a new horn. I have never played one of the tribunes before, how is yours?
