TubeNet State Chapters
I dont know about anyone else but i think that Tubenet should be broken up into chapters for each state ie: Rhode Island Chapter i think that would be good because then when you are looking at instruments being sold you can look for instruments in your general area. You could have all of the same forums on each chapter. I think this would be a good idea. Who else thinks so?

Re: TubeNet State Chapters
I think an RI chapter would be a bit narrow in scope. Taking to the New England level, which is common on much larger forums, may still be too narrow. The real issue is efficiency. I know many folks would rather browse a single forum for items than multiple. Specifically in that tubas are (somewhat) high dollar items and people are willing to travel/ship far distances for a proper axe.

Dave Gannett is already there.schlepporello wrote:Yep, I can see it now. First we just organize chapters. Then each chapter designs it's own logo for the back of their vests. Then comes the trash talking. Then it's the turf wars. And there you have it, Hell's Tubas.

Hm...sorry, but I have a philosophy that if I can't spell the name of a state, then I don't go there
So, I'll proly never go to Tennis-see, Mass-a-choo-choo-sis, New Yawk, Organ, Tex-***, Oh-hi-yo, etc

Someone would then be asking for TubeNet thongs, g-strings and jockstraps. Let's not go there.tubashaman2 wrote:I think we all need a tubenet shirt

Too much work on my end.
The negative outweighs the positive. Having to sift through 50-100 subforums would be tedious and too disconnecting.

Re: TubeNet State Chapters
I am required to be at the Army Tuba Conf each year. Plenty of stuff there to get geeked out on. Not sure how I feel about a TubeNet powwow in Memphis. Of course you guys could hook up and do your own thing. I meetup all the time with my local riding buds from the local cycling clubs but at least right now I am sorta TubeNet'ed out.bloke wrote: I STILL might (??) be willing to host a "live TubeNet" sometime off in the future.

Been to the Memphis Zoo, and have to respectfully disagree with that rating. I might give it 2.5 out of 5.bloke wrote: - The more adventuresome could venture into Memphis (40 - 60 minutes away) to check out Graceland (5-stars, imo), the zoo (5-stars, imo),

Well, by the time it all gets organized, it could be 2012...the elephant wrote:Nah. That is supposed to be in 2012. They were far too accurate to make such an error in their Long Count calendar. Maybe all of us in swim suites in one location at one time is merely a foreshadowing of the end times! WE CAN PREVENT THIS! THIS HORRIBLE EVENT CAN BE AVOIDED! But I will probably be there. I will be swimming wile wearing my cutoffs and tee-shirt, however. (Just in case!)The Jackson wrote:Maybe this is what the Mayans predicted?

It's so hard to return those Speedos after they've been used...

This might be the coolest piece of information I ever gleaned from Joe.bloke wrote:factoid: Where you enter the house (main entrance) is directly below where he died in his own vomit.
