STUPID CRIMINALS of the WEEK

Did anybody see on the news this last week of the two convicts who escaped from the Arkansas State Prison with the help of a sister and wife. I don't want to impune the brightness of these light bulbs. But, if you are from Arkansas, why would plan your excape route to go through western North Dakota, and to try and blend in with the Norwegians and Germans ,in an area which everybody knows every living soul and their entire gene pool. And to top it off, get stuck here the one day in the last sixty years, to go through area in June when it snows. How much snow driving experience do they get in the AR prison systems. It was also quite hilarious to pull a Bunny & Clifford in a town of 80 people, Like as if everyone really thought you were the new neighbors in town. One pair gave up to the constables, the others came out shooting and of course received the same response with greater accuracy. Law Officer 2; Bandits 0, We also hunt in ND. So they can hit moving targets.

Ok, so I'm from AR and I can't argue against the fact that there are some DUMB people here but come on....stupid people are everywhere. And we do have plenty of experience driving in the snow...just fyi...haha

No offense intended to anyone from the Arkansas or the general south, it happened to be where this pair was from and were trying to relocate. My intent, apparently not so successful, was to indicated their non-rational escape route. It would be like me trying to hide anywhere south of Kansas, or MIssouri. My obvious Norwegian broge, would have me standing out like a light post. I have traveled several times through various parts of this country, and it really doesn't matter where you are from, but trying to hide in a major rural area, with a differant speach accent doesn't work for obvious reasons. Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape, are all about blending in and being invisible. My point was, rural America isn't the place to try it. Any and all of us, do, or should know our neighbors for good reasons.

I apoligise to all who where offended by my remarks, it just reminded me of the guy who robbed a place and escaped on foot wearing tennis shoes that lite up when he was runnig away, during a night hiest., Just not real bright. And, Yes Wade we do have more than our own fair share burned out bulbs and stupid criminals, but they also typically leave when the mercury its zero degrees.

I will be very careful during editing of future posts to be sure I don't offend anyone on the tubenet. Because, I realize I'm the first one to ever post a non-intentional, offensive statement, on this very sensitive board, of which I'm very sorry.

I didn't think you were calling all Arkansans, stupid. It just seemed as if you were "looking down" on them since they were from Arkansas and that stupid people aren't from up north. I kinda figured that you were making a joke and didn't mean anything, but it's hard to get that across on a message board. No harm done! I just have to stick up for my fellow Arkansans, even if they aren't worth sticking up for sometimes...lol

Oh, and you would fit in better than you think. We have lots of people from all over the world here in Arkansas. Lots of people from Germany, India, England and lots of people from up North (but mainly Mexico...haha)

It is a good story...but I still love the two "good ol boys" from Cotton Plant that decided to replace the fuse in their truck with a bullet. It work, it completed the circuit......but it also over heated and shot off and hit the driver in the....ahem....baby-maker. That's the best story about stupid people from Arkansas by far...lol Though they weren't criminals. That would've made it better if they were.

Check Snopes on that one. It is a very old and widely claimed story.

True, it may not have happened 100% the way it was presented...but they did test the story on "Mythbusters" and they did prove that a bullet could: A) Be used as a make-shift fuse and B) Could be set off if there was a short of some kind, or if it just got hot enough and travel with enough velocity to break the skin or pierce it a little. And knowing how some people love to fiddle with mechanical things down here, it's definitely a possibility. Plus, it's just a good story...lol

The greatest very stupid northern, MN, ND Norwegian hack story ever told, and by the way the story is true. Is to simply rent the movie "FARGO" a stupid criminal, dark, with dead pan stoic Norskies, and is absolutely hilarious. The film was shot east of Fargo in Brainerd, MN by the Cohen Bros., named Fargo for no apparent reason, other than Fargo is easier to find on a map than Brainerd. The smorgasbord (buffet) scene and the sheriff's interview, of the two blond local girls in the bar is especially funny. What is funny most of the Norskies here were offended by the representation of our stoic personalities. City of Fargo road that PR bus for at least five years. Yah gotta be able to laugh at yourselves. Back in 1975, a good buddy and Navy shipmate from Mississippi turn me on to one of my favorite comedians, Jerry Clower with the Marcel Ledbetter family, The possum hunting stories and of course the grand farting post. Now,that is funny stuff.

Anyway, rent Fargo and view the blunderbust types we live with everyday here and they haven't spent one lick of time in the state pen.
