U. S. Marine Dixieland Band - July 8-9
Coming up this week are two concerts by the Marine Dixieland Band: Wednesday, July 8, on the steps of the U. S. Capitol, and Thursday, July 9, at the Sylvan Theater adjacent to the Washington Monument. Both concerts start at 8:00 p.m. and are free and open to the public. I'm bringing the helicon and Ryan McGeorge is bringing the valve bone. Should be fun for the whole family. Hope to see you there!

So much for that long-distance dedication to a little boy named "Gil" and his dog "Snugles".Tom Holtz wrote:fixedTom Holtz wrote:open to the public... except for Rob.

I caught the first hour of this concert tonight, and it was very enjoyable.
Tom sounds like a million bucks on that Helicon (?). The trombonist also had a fantastic tone and technique.
Great group. Any locals should definitely catch them in action.
