I'm sure marching band instruments are virtually sterile, having been carefully and thoroughly cleaned before the student surrendered them back to the school district for the summer.

In a beaker of hydrochloric acid add manganese dioxide and heat to produce chlorine gas, and pipe that through the horn. That'll kill some stuff. Take big whiff to open your sinuses.

This weekend, a friend was moving, and was unable to fit his very nice sectional sofa in his new apartment; so he offered it to us for free. Not being one to turn down free stuff, especially expensive furniture, I took it.
Moving it, though, took some effort. Turns out, this couch doesn't fit through the doors/hallways of his old building, and when he moved in there last time, the moving company had to actually cut the couch apart, and then reassemble it in his apartment. In order to move it, we had to disassemble it again, cram it into the back of a minivan, and drive it from Manhattan to Jersey, reassembling it here. It took way more work than I initially thought, but I now have an awesome, super comfortable sofa, for a total investment under $75! (That includes the price of the drill I bought to reassemble/put in some new mending plates.)

I was starting to get used to my new tuba. But then the neighbors called the cops.

I wish my tuba sound, was anywhere near his voice. He's been a major inspiration for many many years.
