In the "fairly accurate and only slightly cheesey" Hollywood version about the failed mission two flights later, there is this brass chorale playing about midway through the movie, I -think- when the Apollo rocket was show standing on the launchpad. That seems to have stuck in my head more than anything else - the sound was nothing short of incredible.

We all went over to my uncle's house to watch it on TV, and it was spectacular: grainy, upside down, and all.

The only cheezy part was the overlay graphic "Live from the Moon" which was just so, well, that way.
