I don't have a part, but if memory serves, I've played it both with band and orchestra, and the parts are in two different keys, so you may want to specify which.

The orchestra part is in C, and the band part is in Bb. The high notes being F, and Eb, respectively....

I usually find , when I need a part, a comb seems to work fine.

as far as changing key... C is a strings key...Bb is for band.

Not very good for the soloist to change the key

You would think Tubby should be a tuba part easily available, but I have also never seen the dots. Would be good one to get up to speed in case of getting call to play.

I was in the same boat as you recently. Do NOT worry about it. If your first read is indeed the night before, a very solid, good performance is still VERY doable the following day.

Both myself and Tubabob played it in 2007 (different orchestras) and we were in the same boat and it still went very well. It isn't a widowmaker by ANY stretch of the imagination. Most of the rehearsal time will be spent coordinating the whole ordeal instead of actual working on anything playing wise (especially for the tubist).

I'm a bit surprised it isn't in Db (now there's a band key! ) ... after all, the orchestra version of Sousa's "Stars and Stripes" is in D, and the band version in Eb (just enough off to sound really bad if you memorised the wrong one).
