Orchestral accompaniment for the Effie Suite??
The Effie suite is one of those few tuba solos that just about any audience can really get into. Has anyone ever scored an orchestral accompaniment for this? I imagine that it could come off very well, something along the lines of Tubby but with a more interesting part for the soloist.

Maybe I'm just too conservative (don't get accused of THAT very often), but that piece seems to me so PERFECTLY scored for tuba and piano, it would be very tough for me to get used to hearing the piano part scored for strings.

Peter Whish-Wilson from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra recorded an orchestral arrangement of the Effie Suite for his CD.
