Re: Really?
If it were a BBb, it would be a good price.
I just spent about 45 seconds trying to think of an application for a 3-banger CC. Couldn't come up with one and gave up.

Re: Really?
You're in the wrong country...
CC was a more common pitch in Spain, and in Brazil they are not uncommon, as was also mentioned of the C trombone.
J.c.S. (who truly thinks there's no good reason to start on BBb except that that's what's common here).

Re: Really?
It appears to me
that you guys are forgetting the big thing about tubas...
[banner]CC=professional[/banner]
Why the snot aren't you all salivating over this ("Oh, I could use it for Berlioz/quintet/Verdi/what-friggin-ever...")?? If open E is in tune, I bet you could even still finger it 12!! Etch "PT" on it and they'd sell like hotcakes laced with heroine!!
Realistically, it might be a decent horn for some brain-dead C tuba player (not at all to imply ALL are!), you know... the same guy that makes fun of Bb and Eb players for not learning another key of tuba but oddly enough him/herself cannot simply remember their first key of tuba, to play brass band Eb parts on the cheap.

Re: Really?
Check out the case too. It's a farking good deal, IMHO. Beater/Vacation instrument, Dixieland/strolling horn for the CC folks... A billion uses.
