7 bell, 6 valve sousaphone shape horn
I was poking around the Amati.cz site (using Google translator to help navigate the site) and found this interesting picture tucked away in a side page:
If the translation is correct, this was made by an apprentice instrument builder sometime between the 1st and 2nd World War. Wonder how it sounds!

I think this one is was a "real" brasswind - not a Schalmei - since there are a lot of tuning slides, which the Schalmei don't need.
I saw your question - I can't be sure, but it is a fair bet that it is a multi-belled horn - not a reed instrument. There is no mouthpiece showing, but there are no resonating chambers that I can see.
It is in this class of instruments: drool!
Go to http://www.selmer.fr (Switch to english mode if you can't read french at the top right), and go to the history section, and click historical models. The trumpet with 6 valves and 12 bells is quite amazing!
