Hi all,
I happen to have a BBb Willson Marzan at home for one day.
So I took the opportunity to make some pics. Enjoy !
I played it for half an hour, my findings:
-Intonation is excellent
-there is some stuffiness in the lower register, but I might just be overblowing it a bit. Maybe I could get used to it.
-it feels strange holding it, but it's quite ergonomic. Only the 4th valve is not in the right position for my little finger.

Yup, still dented and wrinkled, but the bell shines again after I polished it !Tuba Guy wrote:I still love your old Kaiser...that thing is one beautiful piece of brass...
Too bad it's pitched too low (can not push the main tuning slide in more).
Maybe a result of the big dent in the top bow? Or a result of older pitches?

Or too deep a mouthpiece with a too long/fat stem.

You could get a new, shorter leadpipe to raise the pitch a bit.

Well, the mouthpipe bore is quite large, so the DW 2L goes very deep in.imperialbari wrote:oedipoes wrote:Yup, still dented and wrinkled, but the bell shines again after I polished it !Tuba Guy wrote:I still love your old Kaiser...that thing is one beautiful piece of brass...

The Tilz WH B2 fits better, but does not change the pitch. The large bore does match very good with the large bore of the horn.
