My oldest picked up the tuba again after a two and a half year hiatus. It's so cool to see him get enjoyment out of music again.

I saw the Purdue 'geezer' band this afternoon. They had a guy 82 years old marching in the nearly 400 piece alumni band! Kids need to know that music is something they'll enjoy loooong after those football knees and baseball arms give out.

does Mo Trout have anything to do with this band?
Last I heard, Mo Trout was conducting the jazz band.

I ask because my high school years ago bought new jupiters with the brass bell and fiberglass body, sounded like crap (in comparison to the old Kings) for two days, then switched to brass yamahas
I think it's a Jupiter. He usually uses a 4v Mirafone, but for some reason the leadpipe has gone MIA.
