 demonic?

Our new "free" kitten spent the enire last night attacking my wife's feet while she tried to sleep. Every time I tossed her off the bed she jumped right back on. Locking her in the bathroom would not have helped as she would have whined the entire time until let out (either the kitten or the wife.) Any attempts at sleep for her ended for good when the toddler decided pre-dawn it was time to stay up for good.

Strangely enough, my wife was quite mad at ME this morning. At least I got to leave early for a quintet at a different church.

I think our next pet needs to be a very large snake. I will then happily accept all the free kittens we can get.

Nope - just in the sandbox, where the kids are sure to play with them.

... but, if you live in a part of the country where some living things are not pests, there's songbirds, shrews, lizards etc. that eat more bugs than the cat will, so I predict a subsidized predator will cause a net gain on bugs in general.
