Nice concept in lightweight tubas!

Make it out of paper (or something?)

This picture from the 2009 Boston Honk! Festival (and please don't upload it to TubeNet - have not got permission from the photographer yet.) There are photos of other similar horns in the photo set.

Sunday afternoon (10/11,) most likely -in the parade from Davis Sq to Harvard Sq that is part of the Boston Honkfest. (more info at http://honkfest.org ) There are many links there to participating bands, videos and such - this is becoming a "Big Deal" among young-ish (or young at heart) musicians and other performers - and lots of Sousaphones & other low brass honkers! Not exactly the Boston Philharmonic, but everybody is really having fun... also happens in Seattle (usually in April,) and a few other cities are developing "HonkFests."

I was in Boston last year and had a great time.

Thanks. The pictures are great, and there are so many, it's kind of like watching the whole event.

I can't help seeing the similarity in spirit between this and another recent posting titled 'Detroit':
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35772"%20%20target="_blank

Freak flags flying all over the place, and why not, if your heart is pure (and you're in Cambridge)?
