Has anyone transcribed/transposed one or more of the four concerti for tuba, as in down into a more comfortable key for contrabass tuba? I have the Wekselblatt transcription of concerto #3, but it's in the original key. A 3rd lower would be ever so much easier!
Thanks in advance.

You probably want to be careful about dropping the key down too low. They can get muddy!
When we play them, we are already playing them an octave lower than poor Wolfgang would have expected!

Check Hickey's Music. I've played several Mozart Horn Concerto's during my undergraduate career.
I think they should have what you want.

Tuba Euphonium Press has a collection called Concert Music for Tuba . It has all of the concerti and much more, all designed to play with published horn music accompaniment.,
Always make a good sound; audiences will forget if you miss a note but making a good sound will get you the next job.
