There is an out-of-print book that I'd like to purchase that I've been able to locate at W. H. Smith in the UK. I live in Montana, U.S.A., but WHSmith.co.uk won't ship outside of the UK.
Is there anybody out there that would be willing to let me use their address for shipping then forward you the estimated shipping costs to have you ship the book to me? Of course, the book would be paid for prior to shipment.
Here's a link to the book: http://www.whsmith.co.uk/CatalogAndSear ... 47440.html
Thanks for your help -
Steven

Steve, is the book about global warming? It could be confiscated by the anti-global warming police when it comes through homeland security.

Have you tried the Amazon.co.uk to see if they have the book also?

Good thought but Amazon.co.uk is a no go. The book has been out of print for some time so I was shocked when I saw that W. H. Smith had one in stock. I've emailed the company to double check their inventory for me.iiipopes wrote:Have you tried the Amazon.co.uk to see if they have the book also?

Abebooks.com is my first choice when looking for obscure publications. But... I already checked. They don't have it.

As fervently as you and I were discussing a particular topic last week, I really don't participate in this board that often (my participation keeps me as up-to-date in the tuba world (that I've--sadly--long since left behind) as an online message board can) and I don't know which TubeNet members live in the UK.bloke wrote:bloke "I wonder if you might just directly p.m. a couple of the UK guys...?? As a group of individuals, they all seem like gentlemen who would do a favor if they possibly could."
I've already been contacted by one UK member who has agreed to help me out if W. H. Smith actually has the book in stock. Can a regular "bugler" member delete a thread?

Don't start deleting threads, then we wouldn't have any idea what you were up to. Looks like this book title is right up your alley. Stay warm and dry!

Thanks for the tips Bloke but I had already been contacted by a friendly across-the-pond gentleman.SRanney wrote:I've already been contacted by one UK member who has agreed to help me out if W. H. Smith actually has the book in stock.
