deleting sold item posts

Post by WVUtubaman12 »

I know this is an out of this world request, but I am currently hunting an F tuba and I can;t tell you how many multi-page threads I've gone thru to find that th item has been sold and the person hasn't updated the title. Is there some way to go through and delete or maybe even just locking those threads to show the item has sold?

I know, I just needed to vent a little frustration.

No, I won't do it.
The OP is the one who needs to be responsible enough to edit their post and title to reflect that the item was sold.

I'd like to suggest that instead of the OP deleting a thread where he/she sold the horn, that instead they edit the post and put "SOLD" in front of the original title of their post. This way the thread would still be visible to folks interested in buying or selling the same type horn.

This is the way other forums handle closed or solved discussions... like AV (anti-virus) forums.

Just a suggestion.
