"Beltone" tubas?

"Beltone" tubas?
Has anyone heard of a "Beltone" brand BBb tuba? One of my students is renting one, and so far it seems to be falling apart rather quickly and easily.... with only light use... just wondering who was making them. The hard case disintegrated pretty fast too (about 10-15 trips out of the house).
