my early Christmas!!!!

Post by bigboymusic »

I know that many of you eflat lovers kept seeing that Besson Imperial in India. I know we were all VERY skeptical and so it sat on *bay.

Well, I broke down and made an offer on the best offer button. Man, did I luck out.

It is NOT pretty as you could see by the *bay listing, but what a monstrous player. I bought a Wick 3 along with my old Bach 30E small shank, and spent about 2 hours just trying to find the catch. NO catch.

I won't tell you what I paid for the horn and shipping from India. Lets just say the Wick MP cost about 1/3 the whole transaction.

Along with an Alex B flat I just purchased, I have a GREAT playing E flat solo horn and a GREAT playing B flat and I still didn't come close to the 3K mark. I am just fat and happy.......

Great to hear ! Congrats on rolling the dice and winning . I too recently lucked out on ebay craps. Rolled my dice for a Besson 3 valve . It arrived with every photographed dent and then some, I have had the bell and bugle straightened, valves worked on ( now fast as lightning !) It also came with a hard case that I fiberglassed and rehinged . all in , its been about a car payment , and while it wont win a beauty contest , it plays great . Particularly when a great player borrows it from me ... nice score
